Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in blackouts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.
Nine people were wounded while inhabitants in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and encountered interruptions to drinking water, per reports from local authorities.
Meanwhile, a minor was lost their life in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, according to area administrators.
Moscow has increased attacks on energy facilities over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "substantial measures" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.
"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the United States, European nations and the Group of Seven - in providing protection systems and enforcing penalties," mentioned in a public message.
Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 rockets targeted the country's power systems, labeling such strikes as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.
The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were laboring to restore power.
A series of attacks damaged power facilities and residential structures in the capital.
Five out of the nine people wounded in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by city authorities.
Area administrators said the city experienced heavy assaults throughout the evening. A minor was killed and several individuals were injured.
The attacks succeed nights of aerial attacks in the area, sections of which are occupied by invading troops.
The entire country is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to spot.
Authorities told reporters that Russia was intentionally trying to destroy the country's energy grid, with strikes already impacting energy systems.
Authorities confirmed technical personnel and officials were bracing for further attacks.
